Our knowledge, your solution

Collaborative Law

Collaborative law is a way of negotiating a mutually acceptable settlement during divorce and separation outside of the court process. Our lawyers are skilled and experienced in managing this process.

Collaborative law gives you the opportunity to resolve the issues associated with the breakdown of your relationship through a series of carefully managed meetings attended by you and your former partner and your legal advisors. Many people find it is a better way to resolve relationship difficulties, financial matters, arrangements for children and other issues. The discussions are underpinned by a contract (known as a Participation Agreement) which commits each of you and your lawyers to resolving matters without recourse to litigation.

We can support you through the entire process, from deciding whether it is the best option for you, to helping you agree a settlement. Our experience is that collaborative law is a highly versatile and "user-friendly” process, allowing you and your former partner to set the pace and content of discussions and have control over the outcome.
