Matthew Barrow - Head of Group

Matthew is a commercial property lawyer and heads the Real Estate Group. He deals with a broad range of commercial property work including property investment, the acquisition and disposal of business premises and portfolio management, including complex landlord and tenant issues.

Matthew is particularly recognised for his expertise in the property aspects of recoveries and insolvency. He advises a number of banks and secured lenders and insolvency practitioners on recovery strategies, appointments and disposals. Matthew and his team are known for their ability to help lenders and Insolvency Practitioners effect exit strategies on more complex matters and to provide effective solutions for the associated issues that arise on receivership/administrations.

Clients for whom Matthew acts include several clearing banks, pension funds, Marina Developments Limited, Diamond Property Holdings, and State Securities plc.
