On 3rd May four members of staff from South Coast law firm Lester Aldridge LLP took to the skies in order to raise money for Dorset based children’s hospice Julia’s House.

Vicky Jones, Andrew Corke, Jo Banks and Dan Pavlou successfully completed 13 000ft tandem skydives at Netheravon skydiving club near Salisbury. The jumps involved an exhilarating freefall at 125mph, for 45 seconds, followed by a panoramic 5 minute canopy ride back to earth.

After receiving training from the Army Parachute Association the foursome enjoyed the view as their flights took off in the glorious Bank Holiday sunshine. At 13000ft the clear skies meant that they had a perfect view over Salisbury plain and across as far as the Isle of Wight.

Jumper Vicky Jones comments "the amazing support from our colleagues and clients has meant that we have already raised an incredible total of around £1500 and the donations are still pouring in. Although our main goal was fundraising for the hospice, we have to admit that we also had a lot of fun doing the jumps. We would also like to thank our superb instructors, Dain, Mick and Mikey who really looked after us on the day”

Lester Aldridge adopted Julia’s House as their "Charity of the Year” for 2009. The hospice offers essential care and support to children with life limiting illnesses and their families.
