Training Contracts
Training consists of four six-month seats and trainees are fully integrated members of our teams. Trainees discuss their seat preferences and every attempt is made to match aspirations with needs of the firm. Trainees have a training principal who they meet monthly, and receive regular formal appraisals with the head of their team.

The application period for training contracts commencing in 2012 and 2013 has now closed.
The application period for training contracts commencing in 2014 will open on 1 April 2012 and completed applications should be returned to us by Friday 29 June 2012. You are encouraged to apply as early as possible as applications will be assessed on arrival.
To apply for a training contract at LA you will need to complete the Application Form and Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form attached below, and return them to Human Resources.
Work Placement Scheme
If you want to learn more about LA, why not try a spot of work experience? We run a scheme during the summer which is intended for people who are applying for training contracts in two years time. You will be with us for two weeks experiencing life within one of our teams.
Each year we have the following work placements:
- 4 places in July - Duration: 2 weeks
- 4 places in August - Duration: 2 weeks
To apply for a work placement send us your CV together with a covering letter, telling us a bit about you and why you would like to apply, before 31 March in the year of placement.
